Ok so you do have construction experience, that’s good meaning you wont be starting from scratch. I say go for it, will be a bit frustrating as your role is now more of identifying issues but not necessarily having the ability to action them
It’s a fulfilling job but I would say try to get out of the field ASAP and move into a more management role. Note that it is less stressful but at least you have a greater ability to change things
